Cheyenne Miller

Hi, I'm Cheyenne!

I have a true passion for helping others more than just your typical therapist. At the age of 18, I was diagnosed with an incurable, slowly progressive, physical disability that shook up my entire world. I experienced a whole new level of a lack in identity, anxiousness, and depression. I am now thankful for this blessing in disguise because it gave me the opportunity to go to therapy. Not only was I able to work on my own mental health but also learn how to effectively communicate with others, understand transitional phases of life, become self aware about family dynamics and even increase my self esteem. My therapist changed my life so it is my honor to continue doing this work to help others the way she helped me.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Channel Islands in 2018 in Psychology and my Master of Arts degree from Pepperdine University in 2021 in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

For the last two years, I have been working with a wide variety of individuals from all walks of life. I have worked in Residential Treatment Centers specializing in Substance Use Disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bi Polar Disorder, OCD, and PTSD. The typical modalities used were CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused and Person Centered Therapy.

I also have a ton of experience working via Telehealth since my internship, The Parenting and Relationship Counseling Foundation, started right at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020! I had the opportunity to work with children, young adults, couples, individuals, as well as teach parenting, co-parenting, and relationship skills workshop classes. PaRC's modalities used were Attachment, Family Systems, and CBT.

Life doesn’t have to feel as scary as our anxious brains tell us it is. My goals are to meet you where you’re at, collaborate a realistic treatment plan, help you gain self awareness, get you back to the manageable life you once had, and lastly DO THE HARD WORK. You don’t have to do it alone, so do it with someone who is nonjudgmental, supportive, empathetic, and whose done the work themselves. Let’s discover the all new and improved 2.0 version of you! You deserve it! Are you ready? I am! Let’s get started! :)
