Hi! I’m Neveen.

Walking alongside you towards wholeness

Looking for someone to join you on your journey as you navigate what weighs on your mind is a crucial first step toward healing.

My name is Neveen Wissa. I am a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church. I was born in Cairo, Egypt. I am a fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic, English, Coptic, and some biblical study Greek. My beliefs are not merely theological concepts concerning God and man to be discussed among clergymen and scholars. But instead, they are, in essence, daily experiences each member of the church has to live.

I am a devoted Christian who visited the monasteries and nunneries and spent days in many nunneries. I lived their ascetic life, their teaching, and the lineage of Christianity in Egypt. This experience helped me to dive genuinely into the theological studies of Christianity, which resulted in a deep understanding of why I want to serve others. In May 2017, I obtained the first Master of Theological Studies at St. Athanasius and St. Cyril school of Theology, CA. In May 2019, I received the second degree, Master of Divinity (Spiritual Care and counseling) at Claremont School of Theology, CA. In May 2022, I received the third Master of Marriage and Family Therapy at University of the west. For the past twenty years, I faithfully served families, lonely individuals, battered women, those living in the streets in the church setting. In my ministry, I established with other church leaders’ theological classes for youth to prepare them to be a Sunday School teacher in churches. Currently, I am leading a women bible study and youth leader for a high school teenage girls’ group.

I specialize in the overlap of psychology and scriptures with a treatment focus on depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, parenting conflict, marriage intimacy, grief, loss, communication skills, and life & work transition issues.

I specialize in providing treatment from a CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness perspectives. I work collaboratively with my client to explore how their early developmental years of interpersonal relationships, attachment histories, and life experiences have shaped them and their views.

Lastly, my therapeutic approach is empathetic understanding, sincere, caring, and genuineness without judgment, guilt, or blaming, which creates a safe environment and empowers the client to heal and facilitate their personal growth.
