As a counselor, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space, where you can feel free to be yourself. I will listen to you and work with you to address your mental health needs. We will tailor a treatment plan that will address your symptoms and achieve feasible changes. You will receive my unconditional positive regards while we explore, process, and unfold a better understanding of yourself. Through this journey, you will build your own “invisible tool belt” with coping skills and strategies to manage your day-to-day mental challenges. I truly believe in therapy and the immensely powerful growth one can have.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California with additional credentials in school counseling, child welfare & attendance. I work with diverse communities and provide clinical counseling services to school-age youth and adults. My clinical theoretical framework is inclusive of multiple modalities from client-centered therapy, strength-based and family systems focused. I derive interventions from evidenced-based practices in solution-focused brief therapy, CBT, play therapy, mindfulness-based methods, motivational interviewing strategies and psychodynamic approach.
I am a trauma-informed care provider and I take a holistic approach in my counseling methods that has helped youth and families who've experienced grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, anger issues or maladaptive behaviors at home or in a school setting.
I am a Los Angeles native, who speaks Spanish and is passionate about helping others. My interests outside the office are spending quality time with family, friends, going to live music events, comedy shows or being one with nature.
My educational background includes a master's degree in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University and a bachelor's degree in Women & Gender Studies obtained from California State University, Northridge.
