MONICA BARRAMEDA, AMFT
THERAPIST | AMFT #112025
Hi, I'm Monica!
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Oftentimes, life is simply hard, whether it be difficulties arising in your relationships, past trauma you still have not healed from, transitions in your life you need help to navigate through, and indecisiveness in career. All of this can be overwhelming, leaving you defeated, or lost. I am here to meet you where you are at and give you the coping skills and tools you need. I am here to help you to be self-aware of old patterns that are not working, and build new ones to build a better lifestyle.
I graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelors degree in Psychology. I graduated from Hope International University with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
My counseling style is empathetic and integrative. I will use what's best for you, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused therapy and Gottman Theory. I specialize in working with young adults and children. I have worked with young adults in their life transitions, and I have a year and a half experience working with children at a school.
Furthermore, I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. My passion is to bring healing to others, whether it be from their past mistakes, betrayal, grief, or heart break.
