NOAH GLASS, AMFT
THERAPIST | AMFT #155067
Hi I am Noah,
My goal is to invite an environment of curiosity where you can feel able to get in touch with all parts of yourself, use your creativity, and welcome the emotions, thoughts and experiences showing up in the mind and body. Therapy offers a space of healing by being in touch with Reality- where we can acknowledge and explore both the wonders and challenges with curiosity and radical compassion.
My approach to therapy is holistic, eclectic and tailored to what resonates with your healing journey. I emphasize attachment work, humanistic therapy, mindful somatic techniques and self-compassion. Compassionate humor is a core part of what I invite into the therapeutic space. It offers a bridge between both the mind and body, and strengthens the alliance between therapist and client; creating a sense of camaraderie, collaboration and support, while allowing strong defenses a moment of peace.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Spiritual and Depth Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. I am a neurodivergent and gender-affirming therapist who has had the honor of serving young adult LGBTQIA2S+ clients along their affirming medical journey. Throughout my practicum, I gained experience working with young adults, adults and families facing a variety of challenges including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, communication issues, and complex trauma inflicted by systemic oppression.
Outside of therapy, I have a passion for writing fantasy and science fiction stories, and illustrating them while listening to music far too loud for headphones. I find time among other animals and in nature to be incredibly healing, finding peace while hiking with my partner in the deserts, on the beach, in the mountains. I'm a proud cat dad of a void queen named Olive and a tuxedo lad named Fig (both of whom are excellent therapy cats and are likely to make a virtual appearance).
