Hi! I’m Terri.
I am an Associate in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. I have worked in both the university setting and in Intensive Outpatient Programs. I have a passion for individual therapy, couples, young adults, and working with those who are ready to start or continue their therapeutic journey.
I hope for you to be able to share this part of your journey with me in a safe space, without judgement. I want you to be yourself with me as we dive deeper into your areas of concern. My therapy style varies per client because each person is different and deserves to have an approach that fits them. I use CBT, client-centered, solution-focused, and mindfulness as some of the means to help my clients reach their mental health goals. I also have a certification in Prepare-Enrich, which is a pre-marital counseling for faith-based couples.
Seeds are planted, watered, and flourish in therapy. Sometimes the therapeutic journey isn’t linear and can have some twists and turns, but through hard work and introspection I believe healing can be found. One of my biggest goals is to make my clients feel comfortable and working to understand them. I believe in acting with intention and compassion because everyone is on a different path and has had many factors play a part in their background.
I guess you should also know a little about me before we dive into therapy together. I love to read. I especially enjoy books that have action, adventure, and romance. I desire to travel and experience beauty in people and places all over the world. I also have a puppy. She’s not actually a puppy, she is 5 years old and knows all of the tricks and will do almost anything for a treat.
