Hi, I’m Theresa.
Thank you for looking into receiving therapy. I know it can be a tough decision. Sometimes you are told to go or wish to go, but do not have the time to devote to it. Offering Telehealth will hopefully make it easier for you to talk on the go! I know what it means to seek resiliency, be resilient, have hope, and faith. I have done therapy myself when times have gotten tough and it has always been beneficial whether in small or big ways. I hope to be able to assist you too in whatever you are going through.
I have experience in various careers and finally have found my niche. I hope to help you explore your passions in life! I have a Master of Arts in Education, taught Health Science to Undergraduates in college, and English as a Second Language in the United States and abroad. I changed careers in mid life going into Medical Social Work and therapy. I have a Master in Social Work and Rural Social Work Certificate. I love helping people with life issues whether it is about work, health, relationships with others, or need for community resources. I advocate for clients as needed or wanted. I enjoy hearing your life story and figuring out how to help you!
I currently work in the hospice field providing visits, community resources, grief therapy and crisis intervention. I also have prior experience working in the military community (so I understand the military lifestyle), medical assisting, and teaching vocational English overseas. I like to think of myself as well rounded and with a good amount of experience that can benefit anyone. I like using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based, and Solutions Focused Therapies.
