Hello! I'm Joanna,

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, dedicated to supporting individuals on their healing journey. My experience includes working with children and adolescents facing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and life transitions. I have also had the privilege of supporting unaccompanied minors from around the world as they work through experiences of trauma, cultural adjustment, and resilience building.

I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach and integrate evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and other therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's individual needs. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space that empowers clients to build resilience, increase self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change.

As I continue developing my clinical skills, I am eager to expand my work with transitional youth and adults, helping clients of all ages rediscover their strengths and navigate life's challenges with confidence.

I am a bilingual therapist, fluent in both English and Spanish. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Child Development at Cal State LA, and later received my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, connecting with nature, and attending concerts-all of which help me stay grounded and present in the moment.
