I am an associate clinical social worker with experience working in various mental health settings. My framework for practice is rooted in the idea that where there is pain, there is meaning. I believe a life well-lived is inherently painful, and the ways in which we relate to that pain can influence how we live our lives. My goal is to be a pillar of support for individuals who would like to live in accordance with their values and goals.

My experience includes working within the following settings: inpatient, outpatient, community mental health. My primary area of expertise is obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). I also have extensive experience working alongside individuals experiencing specific phobias and anxiety-related challenges. Moreover, I also have expertise in grief and loss, depression, and neurodivergence (autism, ADHD).

My primary model is acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I utilize this framework with an understanding that each individual has unique experiences, needs, resources, and goals. I make an effort to be person-centered and prioritize building trust and connection with each individual I am supporting. I have an understanding of trauma-informed care, and am actively making an effort to learn more about posttraumatic stress disorder and complex posttraumatic stress. I also make an effort to be open minded and culturally compassionate. Moreover, I utilize art-based, therapeutic interventions for those who would like to process experiences creatively and visually.

I am in this field to live in accordance with my value of connection with others. My ultimate goal is to support individuals who want to be the best versions of themselves. I believe the way in which we relate to our pain can transform it from a roadblock to a compass.
