Hi! I'm Rudy,

I am an Associate Marital and Family Therapist as well as a Provisional Registered Art Therapist with my Master's degree from Loyola Marymount University.

My role as a therapist is to fully see you for who you are: your cultures, your identities, your struggles, your strengths. I strive to create a therapeutic space that allows you to express yourself and process your experiences in both the mind and body. As an art therapist, I utilize both in-person and telehealth forms of intervention that help express trauma and emotions when words do not come easily.

Mental health affects more than just thoughts. Through my experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, I have seen how nervous systems get trapped in fight- or-flight mode and how it can lead to overwhelm and worsening of conditions. My training in TF-CBT and utilization of DBT, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) prioritizes meeting you where you are at in your healing process and moving at a pace that suits your needs.

I am a culturally humble and gender-affirming therapist who has worked with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, OCD, PTSD, ADHD and Autism, eating disorders, addiction, psychosis, and chronic illness and disability. I value working with LGBT+ clients and navigate topics around gender dysphoria and sexuality, as well as any other clients with marginalized identities that are looking for a space to be seen and heard.
