Hello,
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a master's degree from Antioch University and experience working in schools, community agencies, and higher levels of care. My work has primarily focused on children, teens, and families, in exploring the environmental and relational factors that influence emotional well-being. I also have experience working with adults navigating life transitions and exploring how these changes may impact their relationships. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a preschool teacher, supporting young children's emotional development and helping parents build strategies for emotional regulation. These experiences continue to shape my compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. I strive to help clients develop a more compassionate view of themselves and quiet the internal voice that tells them they are the "problem."
As a humanistic and person-centered therapist, I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual's needs, experiences, and goals. I enter each session with compassion, curiosity, and understanding. Together, we will explore the concerns bringing you to therapy and identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you. I draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, psychodynamic approaches, and somatic perspectives. Together, we may explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the mind-body connection while developing tools for coping, self-esteem, relationships, and meaningful change.
