If you are reading this, that means you have already taken a big step in the process of healing and making a difference. I graduated from University of California, Davis with a double major in psychology and human development, and later received my Master of Social Work degree specializing in Children, Youth, and Families from University of Southern California. Growing up, my own immigration experience allows me to better understand the struggles and challenges new immigrants face.
I understand the importance of having a healthy and supportive parent-child relationship, and the importance of building a strong foundation as children grow up. With the passion of helping others, I strive to create a safe space to empower individuals and families to thrive amidst life challenges.
Through my career, I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in school and the community facing different issues from depression to anxiety, cultural assimilation, transition between life events, parent-child relationship, and family conflicts. I use a diverse range of modalities such as CBT, motivational interviewing, play therapy, solution-focused, and strength-based approach, to meet where my clients are at and help them find inner strengths to build up resilience and confidence.
Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Teochew dialect and English, I am able to bridge cultural divides and foster connections for individuals with generational issues and traumas. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my cat, family and friends, doing pilates. I also enjoy traveling and outdoor activities such as hiking and snowboarding.
