BRENDA DIAZ, AMFT
THERAPIST | AMFT #147416
Hello! My name is Brenda,
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and proud Mexican American clinician who is dedicated to providing culturally responsive, compassionate care. In my work, I integrate a variety of modalities to fit each individual's needs, more regularly in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a person‑centered approach to support clients in understanding their thoughts, strengthening emotional regulation, and fostering deeper self‑connection. I aim to create a warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful change. My practice is grounded in respect, cultural humility, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with clarity and resilience.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I have experience working with adults and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief/loss, trauma, stress, and relationship/family issues. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California Baptist University as well as earning my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the same university.
Outside of therapy, I love to travel, watch a variety of sporting events, try new coffee shops, and spend time with my wonderful family and friends.
