Welcome! I look forward to connecting with you and hearing about your therapeutic needs and goals to determine if we would be a good match. My name is Mia. I am a Korean-bilingual, bicultural psychotherapist in Los Angeles.

 

I believe honesty and self-reflection can be one of the most important ingredients toward life changing experiences. It can be intimidating, but together I would like to help you get there as safely as possible. I use a warm, yet direct approach to help my clients understand the root causes of what hinders their ability to live their life as fully as possible. I work together with my clients to expand their insight and facilitate lasting change by providing a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe and comfortable to unfold and explore their thoughts and feelings as they learn to thrive in the present moment.

 

My psychotherapeutic interventions are based on an integrative approach of insight-oriented, behavior-modifying, and supportive therapy. I cultivate the therapeutic space as a restorative and explorative experience in which clients can practice self-respect and self-love.

 

I have experience working with children to seniors, and with couples and families. I have helped clients address a wide range of presenting issues and clinical diagnoses from depression to PTSD while helping clients improve self esteem and confidence.

 

I have passion for clients who have been impacted by dysfunctional relationships in their family of origin or past or present partnerships and struggling to thrive in the present moment. I believe understanding all parts of oneself can help find greater peace and maintain healthier relationships.
